Falkland Tour
Join Knee Deep Adventures for an 11mile guided paddle down the Tar River! This popular paddle route begins at the Falkland Hwy 222 Access and ends at Town Common in Greenville.
Come out and enjoy the colors of Fall on this scenic tour.
We’ll meet at Town Common and hop on the shuttle to the Falkland Boat Access. We estimate return time is dependent on the river’s current that day and the pace of the group. (Note: We do not recommend this trip for first-time paddlers due to the length.)
Multiple rest stops can be made along the way. Depending on river height, there will be several sandbars.
You are welcome to bring small coolers, lunch, drinks, snacks, etc.
Expect to float past several areas of interest including Blue Banks and hopefully we’ll catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. (Bald Eagles are usually seen.)
Participants will be provided with a single/tandem kayak or Standup Paddleboard(SUP), paddle, PFD, dry bag, shuttle ride, and river guides.
If you have your own kayak/SUP, you can load your kayak onto our trailer and we will transport it to Falkland.
*Cost includes everything (unless you bring your own equipment) rental gear and we’ll transport you and your kayak to the launch site.
Sign up today by contacting Knee Deep Adventures through our reservation form, email, or text 252-714-5836 and reserve your desired rental on this popular Pitt County river tour! You must sign up (at least 24hrs) in advance to participate. Feel free to ask any questions. Upcoming Dates: TBA
Pints and Paddles with Tarboro Brewing Co.
Join us & Tarboro Brewing Company for another Pints and Paddles kayak tour!
We’ll be paddling the scenic section of river from the Bell’s Bridge boat access to Tarboro’s Riverfront landing. It’s 10.4 miles total and should take us around 4 hours to complete – depending on the river’s current that day. (This will be an easy paddle but we do not suggest first-time paddlers since it is longer than most tours we do.) How it Works:
- Meet us at the brewery to gather and we will work together to carpool with each other and shuttle ourselves to the launch point (2.5 mile drive from the brewery.)
- Let us help you gear up and get in your paddlecraft to begin the leisurely paddle down river to Tarboro’s waterfront. Plan to be on the water for 4-5 hours. Rest stops on sandbars will be made. You are welcome to bring along phones, towels, small coolers, snacks, and extra drinks like water, gatorade, etc.
- After arriving at the Riverfront, we’ll walk a few short blocks through Tarboro’s super cute Main Street back to the brewery. Once we return to TBC, feel free to hang out, recoup, try some new beers, and if you’re hungry, a food truck will be on site!
- Limited spaces available. Message us to secure your spot ASAP.
- Event includes your kayak (or standup paddleboard rental), life jacket, paddle, dry bag, 2 river safety guides, and 3 beers of your choice from Tarboro Brewing Company.

This paddle designed for our favorite four-legged friends! We are having it to raise money for our local dog rescue – Friends of the Pitt County Animal Shelter. We paddle a short distance to a nearby sand bar where they can all run, swim, and play!
Select a kayak or SUP and let us know your dog’s size so we can make sure you’ll be comfortable. We will provide the rentals and gear needed. We also have a few dog life jackets available. You can bring your own boat for reduced participation cost.
*Call, text, or fill out a reservation form to save your spot! We just need your email address and selection of paddle craft along with the size of your dog. ***ALSO, please make sure you dog is up to date on shots and is not aggressive toward others. (If you plan to SUP, make sure your dog’s nails are cut/filed so they don’t damage the board!)
